Depends on the chip you have. You mite be able to download some software to unbrick it. Google it.

Yes, you can. And No the Wii will never be bricked. However every new update that come from Nintendo to supposedly "Fix" something actually has as a target to remove the software you installed (Homebrew).

Unlocking Wii doesn't brick your console. It actually helps you import games onto the Wii and even store backups. Specially when you're playing region-locked games, it's actually an advantage to unlock Wii to be able to play them without restrictions.
