Nintendo Wii – Will Unlocking Wii Brick My Console ?

A lot of my friends have successfully unlocked wii without problems. I’m just curious to know if I can do the same safely.

Unlocking Wii doesn't brick your console. It actually helps you import games onto the Wii and even store backups. Specially when you're playing region-locked games, it's actually an advantage to unlock Wii to be able to play them without restrictions.

Yes, you can. And No the Wii will never be bricked. However every new update that come from Nintendo to supposedly "Fix" something actually has as a target to remove the software you installed (Homebrew).

Depends on the chip you have. You mite be able to download some software to unbrick it. Google it.
P.S I'm guessing you put a game that was out of your region in your wii and updated.
